It reviews the most common PCMs suitable for building applications, and discusses PCM encapsulation and packaging methods. Presenting an overview of the use of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) within buildings, this book discusses the performance of PCM-enhanced building envelopes. We modeled the thermal circuit and determined using a Matlab script that it will take 1200W of heating power to reach the temperature of 38 degrees Celsius after 21 seconds inside the incubator. Thus, depending on the amount of PCM used, we obtained a thermal autonomy of up to 6329.17 Wh.

To solve the problem related to the low thermal inertia on existing incubators, we found a solution by using, in the design of the walls of the incubator, phase change materials (PCM) known for their good thermal capacity.

Therefore, we have designed and produced using Proteus 8 Professional software an electronic circuit that makes the incubator capable of automatically controlling all incubation parameters. These incubators do not have a strong heat retention, in the event of power cuts, farmers end up losing the incubating eggs due to hypothermia that affects the hatching rate. Other breeders use electric models mainly from China. Indeed, some local poultry farmers use artisanal eggs incubators which always require human presence for temperature, humidity, ventilation and eggs turning control, essential parameters for incubating eggs. In this work, we set out to design and build a smart eggs incubator with high heat retention.
